2018 Church Flower Report

In comparison to 2017 I think 2018 has been quite a busy year – this is not only reflected in the accounts but also in the number of events the flower team have been involved in.

We have a truly wonderful team of extremely talented ladies who are so kind to give their time to making each occasion different and special for the people involved.  Whether it is a christening, wedding, funeral or important date in the church calendar, their dedication and enthusiasm is much appreciated.

There were seven weddings and we were involved with five of them.  They were neatly spread throughout the year and each reflected arrangements of wonderful seasonal flowers and decorations.

Christmas was a variation on last year – the repeat of two trees behind the altar seems to be popular and the remainder of the church was a good mix of seasonal greenery, lights and candles.

The diary for next year seems to be filling up with five weddings already booked.

We have a great team but if there is anyone in the village who would like to lend a helping hand I would be delighted to hear from them – we are always open to new ideas and talents.
